When I came into the gym for the first time on May 2, 2016, I did not know what to expect.  I was so afraid of being embarrassed and humiliated, as I knew I had lost a good bit of strength that I once had, and I did not know if it would be possible to regain it.  I almost turned around and went back home.  That first day, Ryan asked me about my goals and established some initial benchmarks.  He truly set me as ease.  At that time, I could not hang from the pullup bar without being in pain and now almost 2 years later, I am doing sets of strict pullups…not to mention all the other things I would not have thought I would be able to do!  I cannot believe the number of ways he knows to exercise the body.  It makes going to the gym so much fun!  He challenges me to do things that I would never have thought I could possibly do and I would not be able to do without his instruction and encouragement.  He truly inspires me to do more than I ever thought I could do.  
I have also been impressed by Ryan’s passion to help all his clients and his ability to connect with them.  He is attentive to their individual needs, seems to know their limits and how far he can push them to be the best they can be.  He has so much patience and as John Wooden has been quoted as saying “A coach is someone who can give correction without causing resentment.”  That is Ryan Callicott…and more.

Meals

To me, results are made in the gym but not without proper nutrition.  For years, I have been focused on cooking and eating a clean, wholesome diet…free of processed foods.  I shop primarily the perimeter of the grocery store.  Going out to eat is always challenging as you are never certain what they are putting in your food or how it is being prepared.  I have now been introduced to “commitfueltrain” and it is a wonderful alternative to cooking!  All the meals are prepared with real meat and vegetables…only natural, wholesome ingredients are used with no additives.  The ending result is not only pleasing to the palate, but is also a proper balance of protein, carbohydrates and fat – regardless of whether you choose the skinny version (lower calorie) or the performance version (higher calorie).  A wonderful alternative to cooking or going out to eat!
